Premier Paranormal Researchers Unexplained Cases

Upon getting to know Rick Garner, Founder, Executive Producer and Investigator at Unexplained Cases, one cannot help but be impressed by his extensive knowledge and acumen in the paranormal field. In an industry that can sometimes be viewed as incredulous, Rick and his team's desire to probe the mysteries of our world with a non-sensationalist approach is apparent.

The story begins in Jackson, Mississippi, on WJTV-TV as a local broadcast news feature called "Unexplained", which ran from 1999 to 2004. Darren Dedo and Rick Garner developed this groundbreaking program, which won them recognition, praise, and awards including a Southeast Regional Emmy and two Associated Press awards for pioneering the growing field of "ghost hunting."

Unexplained Cases (UC) was relaunched in 2019 and is based on the original core principle of blending broadcast journalism and storytelling with historical research and preservation in order to investigate, uncover, and document all things paranormal – hauntings, UFO sightings, cryptid encounters, cold cases, and much more.

Possessing philanthropic hearts, the members of UC serve the living by documenting their stories, finding ways to understand their experiences, and educating themselves and the public on the paranormal. As well as assisting the living, UC serves the dead by giving them a voice and sometimes assisting them in crossing over. Their approach is to work as a team, collaborate with other professionals, become thought leaders in the paranormal community, and utilize existing and future technology effectively. Their work is featured in compelling video segments, live interviews, and special events.

The Unexplained Cases team's YouTube channel presents its viewers with well-produced and expertly narrated video of many of the USA's most famous haunted locations such as The Town of Tombstone, Arizona, Pennhurst Asylum in Spring City, Pennsylvania, and the USS Constellation in Baltimore, Maryland, as well as some international locations including the Coromandel-Moehau ranges of New Zealand's North Island.

A newsradio journalist who specializes in reporting on crime stories, Darren Dedo is the UC team reporter, a co-founder, and an investigator. Over the last few years, Michael Chinn has also partnered up with the Unexplained Cases team as a Lead Investigator and Researcher.

Along with investigating some of the most notable locations for paranormal activity, UC has also had the privilege of featured collaborations with several renowned paranormal investigators, including Daryl Marston, Mustafa Gatollari, Brandon Alvis, Brian Murray, and Richel Stratton from A&E's Ghost Hunters, and Malia Miglino from YouTube's "Macabre Mondays" and "Grave Hunter".
